AR Proposal Project Description
In my final year at university, I developed a proposal for an augmented interactive system addressing a design brief and topic that I identified. This project involved conducting extensive design research related to the chosen topic, situating the proposal within the field, and documenting the entire design process. The goal was to create a comprehensive design response to the brief I wrote, demonstrating progress towards realizing the proposal and outlining the key design questions and how they would be addressed through a structured design process.
My Role in the Project
Design Research: My role began with conducting thorough design research to explore the chosen topic and understand its relevance and potential impact. This involved reviewing existing literature, analysing current technologies, and identifying gaps that the proposed system could address.
Design Brief Development: I was responsible for developing the design brief, which outlined the specific challenges and objectives the augmented interactive system aimed to address. This brief served as the foundation for the entire project, guiding the design and development process.
Documentation: Throughout the project, I meticulously documented the design process, capturing each stage from initial concept development to iterative testing and refinement. This documentation included detailed descriptions of design decisions, user feedback, and modifications made to improve the system.
Design and Development: I played a key role in designing and developing the augmented interactive system. This involved creating wireframes, prototypes, and user interfaces that aligned with the design brief. I also collaborated with team members to integrate the AR technology and ensure a seamless user experience.
Evaluation and Feedback: Finally, I conducted evaluations to gather user feedback and assess the system's effectiveness in addressing the design brief. This involved coordinating with users, collecting data, and analysing the results to inform further refinements and improvements.
By combining design research, brief development, documentation, design and development, and evaluation, my role in this project was crucial in bringing the augmented interactive system proposal to fruition, ensuring it addressed the identified challenges and demonstrated significant progress towards realisation.
