Hi, my name is Sophie, and I have a passion for designing innovative and impactful solutions. I am in my final year at Queensland University of Technology, pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Interaction Design with a minor in Industrial Design. My journey in design is fuelled by a desire to create meaningful experiences and contribute positively to the health and wellbeing industry.
Throughout my academic career, I have honed my skills in both interaction and industrial design, allowing me to develop a unique approach to problem-solving. My hands-on experience and practical knowledge have equipped me to tackle complex challenges and deliver user-centred solutions.
One of my most rewarding experiences was participating in the Design for Change: Singapore 2023 study tour. Collaborating with a prominent healthcare provider and social enterprise, our team was awarded the Problem Solving Award for our Mobility Assisted Seating Unit (MASU). This project exemplified my commitment to designing for health and wellbeing and showcased my ability to conduct thorough research, brainstorm innovative ideas, and develop functional prototypes.
In addition to my academic and project work, I am dedicated to furthering my understanding of visual communication and its role in contemporary cultures and societies. My goal is to continue designing solutions that not only address immediate needs but also contribute to a better, healthier future.
Thank you for visiting my portfolio. I look forward to sharing my work with you and exploring new opportunities to make a positive impact through design. Please feel free to contact me through my email at sph.hazel.white@gmail.com.
